Hello!
I'm checking in to see if anyone with egg allergy is successfully eating baked egg on Xolair? C is class V and failed a baked egg challenge years ago. His numbers haven't gotten better, so we haven't tried again. He's been on Xolair for a year now. His world has opened up as we now allow "May contains" and shared friers with no problem.
Recently, I realized that over Christmas break, I accidentally served him an item that contains egg. Egg was 5 th ingredient and either baked or deep fried (cannoli shell). My other son and I had reviewed the ingredients prior to a party and deemed it safe. Egg allergic son was not going to that party, so I think in my head it was just "safe". The same item was at a different party a few days later and my egg allergic son ate 3-5 of the canolli chips with dip after I told him his brother and I read the ingredients. He was perfectly fine.
I realized the error when I was purchasing the item a couple of weeks back. I immediately messaged the allergist and we do a challenge on 3/21! He really wanted to make sure I understood that C was still allergic, but could possibly tolerate while on xolair. We're very excited and very nervous! Even though he was only 4, he remembers how bad he felt during the last challenge.

Not egg - DS1 passed his challenge just before starting Xolair at 19.  But he is eating wheat (with some hiccups) and barley (no issues) which were Class 6.  He eats one slice of Wonder bread 2x a week and is currently in 200+g of barley three nights a week (he will top out at 285g when we will go to maintenance dosing 1-2x a week). Not sure yet if he will add rye (also a class 6) because the benefit might not be worth the anxiety (he took a leave of absence from work because of repeated rxn's to wheat).
DS1 - Wheat, rye, barley and egg
DS2 - peanuts
DD -  tree nuts, soy and sunflower
Me - bananas, eggplant, many drugs
