I have been reading similar things for a couple of years, now.  Though my SIL's ped still is advising her to go slow with introduction to new solids with her now 9 month old.  Though, for a 9month old, he already eats quite a bit of variety.  Very coordinated at gumming chunks of food.

Well, then.

Let's just add this to the ever-growing list of things that Mom did not do to CAUSE life threatening food allergy in a child.

I'll also add that this probably shocks nobody who has been with this community since 2005 or so, when the first research rumblings were starting that it might NOT actually matter whether you "delayed" introduction of some foods, and might even make things worse.
