I thought maybe it would be nice to start a thread where we could share 504 letter and/or plan wording ... all or parts (ex. - a helpful phrase), with personal info redacted.

You can post yourself, as a guest, or have a friend post for you.

Posting this kind of info can identify you to others (like schools) so consider whether it might cause any problems for you before deciding to post.

I know we already have some info like this at FAS, but it might be helpful to those going through the process to collect some other words/ideas from those of us that have been through the process.  Posters can say whether it's ok for others to use their wording.

Of course, every situation is going to be different, every plan will have to adjusted to the individual needs of the allergic person (what is sufficient protection for one person may not be sufficient for another) ... every person's allergic history and risk is different.  Parents who are interested in setting up a 504 should work closely with their child's physician/allergist and shouldn't take ideas/wording shared here as a recommendation.
