I feel like Charlie Brown with the football.  :disappointed:

Me too... :grouphug:
It helps so much to have this community of people who get it.

It's that lottery ticket hope.  Scratch-Its for outgrowing.

The same reason we all do; the same reason.  Love.

I don't care for ME whether or not FAs are always part and parcel of my identity.  But wow what I wouldn't give for it not to burden my child's life.

Results are back.  And as usual, DS took them in stride, and I cried.

No change - he told DS that he is "highly" allergic to peanuts and tree nuts.  And his sesame #'s went up slightly - however significant that is.

He will be 21 in 9 days.  Why do I still get my f@6!%& hopes up every time?

Our allergist does not do any SPT for food--only for environmentals.

I'm glad he has found someone easier to get to. Sounds like you found a winner.

DS is aging out of Mt. Sinai, and we really needed someone more local to prescribe his Epi's, Auvi's, and Inhalers - especially before his upcoming trip to Ecuador.  So today he saw someone who I saw briefly several years ago, and who was recommended by several people in my local support group.

I don't know details yet because I was only with them for part of the visit (he is turning 21 next month), but I was really impressed.  Very thorough history, smart guy, and when  we were leaving he came running after us because he forgot to tell DS how to try to get our insurance to cover 8 epi's in a 2 week period.  And he's only 10 minutes away - Bonus!

He said he'd call as soon as results were in - he repeated his RAST.  No SPT - I don't know why, because DS and I had to go our separate ways as soon as the appointment was over.  I'll find out later.
