hi all - I just did some research on 'tiger nuts' or Chufa. My regular hair care product added chufa and I had to investigate!

Chufa or 'tiger nut' is actually a tuber...hard little tuber that taste nutty...nicknamed "ground almond".

There are reported cross-reactivities with some people who have oral allergy syndrome to  raw veggies/fruit and pollens...but it's deemed rare.

They use chufa in horchata in Spain and make 'tiger nut milk' in some places. Popular in Africa.

Just wanted to share...might become more common in hair products/etc. as I've seen it elsewhere over the summer in some product in CVS.
