Thanks all!! It's still sinking in...feels so surreal.

GN -- We saw Dr. Chokshi. I like her.

We brought the Jif to go packs of peanut butter.

Great news. I am doing a peanut challenge with my dd soon. Do you know what brand peanut butter does not have cross contamination with tree nuts? Thanks.

I looked at the thread we have here for Sources for (tree)NUT-free peanuts and don't see that anyone has found tree nut free PB.  I thought maybe the powdered pb would work, so I found their website.  https://www.bellplantation.com/

The only thing they produce is peanut products, so it might be worth giving them a call.

This IS great news.  My youngest also "outgrew" all of her food allergies.  Although there were brief moments of self pity, my older daughter generally took this in stride.  I bet your older son handles it better than you find you can!

Yes--nice problem to have, but I do hope you find a workable solution. Wow.

Congratulations!!  :happydance:

I'm sure some special outings with a parent to the park for a peanut butter treat (granola bar, candy, uncrustables) would be a safe way to do it, whilst the other child gets to do something else with the other parent?  I've heard of a few families doing that.  With many hand wipes and hand/face washing when everyone returns home.

Not much advice for your other DS, however.  Only hugs and reassurance that it will be ok.

He finished all doses -- no symptoms!!

Now we wait 2 hours and then we leave. If he doesn't react he's supposed to eat them few times a week. Yikes. Not sure how we will do that. But this is good problem to have right?! We will figure it out. Already feel bad for older ds. Younger ds has now kicked all allergies he shared with older ds.
