Announcement

Whole Foods Market is voluntarily recalling one batch of Whole Foods Market™ Korean BBQ Sauce because the product contains Peanut Coconut Sauce and therefore includes peanut and treenut (coconut) allergens that were not declared on product packaging. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts and or tree nuts (coconut) run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.
All recalled product has been removed from store shelves. The product was packaged in 12-ounce glass bottles with UPC code 9948244812 and a best-by date of Oct. 19, 2017 and was available nationally at Whole Foods Market stores. One of the grocer's team members discovered the mislabeled product while receiving a shipment at the store. Whole Foods Market contacted the manufacturer and confirmed that a lot of Peanut Coconut Sauce had been mislabeled as Korean BBQ Sauce.

No illnesses have been reported to date.

Customers who purchased this product and wish to return it can bring it or a valid receipt into stores for a full refund. Consumers with additional questions can contact their local store or call 512.477.5566 ext. 20060 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. CST, Monday through Friday.
