Turkey Hill Dairy recalls ice cream with undeclared nuts

February 08, 2010, 1:05PM
Turkey Hill Dairy of Conestoga is recalling cartons of chocolate marshmallow premium ice cream because almonds accidentally may have been added during production.

People with allergies could suffer allergic reactions, but the ice cream is safe for those who aren't allergic to nuts.

Turkey Hill Dairy said all stores which received the ice cream have been ordered to remove it from shelves. It suspects fewer than 150 cartons may have been exposed to almonds.

Effected containers were sold after January 28. They are rounded, rectangular, cream-colored, paperboard, 48 oz. packages with a farm scene and ice cream scoop graphics. Packages are marked on the bottom with the code "01/18/2011 56/L1
