Hi Becca

Nice to see you again..  my girls are 18 and 15. Glad to hear your kids are doing well. All of our kids have grown up.

Nice to see there is a handful of members who still visit. I was checking the boards, and they look very quiet.

I always had fond memories visiting this site when my girls were young. So it's nice to be back and reconnect.

Happy New Year!

Hi Erik!  I saw your post referencing GH, and the actors we've lost.  I was trying to figure out who you were!

I can't believe your girls are young women now!  I thought my kids were so much older, but my youngest, son, is turning 22 this week.  Our daughter is 26 and living in the Chicago area.  She's a chemist and son is in college. He's studying cognitive science.  Daughter still has pn/tn and raw egg allergies.

There's a handful of us that still visit here regularly.

Younger DS still has his allergies, but outgrew almond. Still allergic to peanut, tree nut sesame and chick pea. His wife's dad is allergic to fish, and she understands FA's well. I'm blessed with 2 wonderful DILs.

Quote from: SilverLining on January 04, 2026, 12:55:19 PMI guess you haven't heard my news....I somehow outgrew my allergies. Found an awesome allergist who was willing to do scratch tests, followed by blood tests, followed by food challenges.

I still chose to support companies that label well and have peanut free options. But...I also eat actual contains items.

Wow.. such great news!!  No more sesame allergy?? You can eat bread again.  Very happy to hear thus.

Nice to see you again..  yes, I was just getting married and suddenly I have grown up kids.

I still have my peanut allergy but that's it. With all the labeling I am able to cope well, and can eat in most restaurants. Though I avoid Thai, Vietnamese etc due to peanuts.

Happy New Year!

Wow.. time flies..  so you are an empty nester! Glad to hear your kids are doing well.

My older daughter is at Toronto Metropolitan University studying Early Childhood Education.

She is starting 2 days a week at a childcare center in mid January. Her eventual goal is to become a school teacher (primary school - ages 4 to 10)

She still has peanut and egg allergies..  the wheat allergy may be gone.

My younger daughter (well, she turns 16 this year so not young anymore) still has her dairy allergy.

Yes..  my wedding was 2005..  over 20 years ago. It is unbelievable how the years fly by. I still work full time..  but I do see retirement on the distant horizon as I am getting old. We do have a cute 4 pound Maltese dog to keep us busy.

Are there many old timers still visiting this site? Looking at the threads it seems very quiet. Glad you are still here! :)

ERIK!!! So glad to see you!  I can't believe how grown your girls are. I still remember when we were joking about crashing your wedding!

Time has flown by. Both my boys are married, grown and flown. One a teacher, the other an attorney.

Hi everyone..

Life got busy, work got super busy. I got a new phone, covid came, and didn't log in for years. I was thinking of this site today so created a new account (MapleLeaf) and logged in as no idea what my old password is. I hope everyone is well.

My kids have grown up.. one at university and one in high school. No more kids at this point. Haha

I still search for peanut free chocolate. My latest find is Cadbury Swirl, now found at retailers across Canada including Dollarama.

Happy New Year!
