I have wanted to attempt RR for a while now. BUT the one we have a little bit away from us is RIGHT next door to Texas Roadhouse.  GAG GAG GAG.  I'll pass lol.

That RR is the one that we tried.  Don't bother!

Was it your egg allergic DS?  Since they serve a burger with a fried egg on it, I'd bet the griddle is contaminated with egg.  :-/

It was!  I didn't know they served a burger with a fried egg.    :-/  That make so much sense now... Thank you!

I must be the only person that had a bad RR experience...

Maybe I will try a different one then.

We had a bad experience on our one visit there as well.

Kids ended up throwing up ---

And I don't like that with our multiple allergens, we were given hand-outs of safe menu items for each allergen.  Then we had to figure out what was okay for all the allergens.  Very difficult to figure out.

Us too!  My DS threw up 3 different times after eating at RR.  So frustrating!!

I don't understand. Why would it matter what was next door?

Just went on a road trip vacation and I can't say enough about our great success eating at Red Robin!  We ate at different ones and the attention to detail, training of staff, allergy binder, managers, etc..... were consistently excellent!!!!  I emailed them and thanked them for our great meals out and the care and accommodations they did for DD in a manner that did not single her out as different.  Her allergy to sesame and garlic were beyond the allergy binder, no problems finding safe substitutions when needed.

(we don't have them here so I had no previous experience)

I highly recommend Red Robin as an allergy friendly restaurant.  We all enjoyed our food too, very yummy!
