I've found a few freeze dried fruits to be okay.  Trader Joe's has 2 pineapple varieties without PN/TN warnings, though I haven't tried them yet.  I think Target's Market Pantry might have had one too. The Trader Joe's are on my counter, just too many fresh fruits to go through first!  Maybe I'll give a home recipe a try, too.

Jessica - you probably don't want to know.  I do wonder if there is some sort of citric acid added to prevent browning.  I know a trick for cutting apples at home is to sprinkle them with lemon lime soda.

This is the downside to reading labels for allergies, sometimes it makes you lose your appetite altogether.

I've done it myself and it never tastes the same as the kind you buy. I don't know if they put something else on it but I don't like home-dried pineapple.

If you don't have a dehydrator there are lots of recipes to do in an oven.

Not sure, but it's pretty easy to do your own in a food dehydrator

DD and I love the pineapple bits in the enjoy life mixes. Does anyone know where we can find just dried pineapple?
