A sulfite allergy is not a true allergy. It's chemical, not IgE mediated. Anaphylaxis is rare, though many people have anaphylactoid reactios.  I may have had the real deal a few years ago.

I don't know about eczema, since it's not IgE mediated. I might explore wheat.

Thanks for the reply. I believe its either an allergy to sulfites or yeast.

If I have non-organic wine, I literally go crazy. I get extremely angry (1 glass of course) and become ridiculously anxious. It is the worst feeling ever!

Any foods that contain vinegar cause me to break out in eczema or a similiar (but not as bad) emotional state, with dry eyes as well. This usually occurs with marinade soaked food.

Your reactions don't sound typical for an allergy (to yeast or anything else).

Even organic wines have naturally occurring sulfites - they just can't have added sulfites.  So, maybe you can handle a certain amount of sulfites without reacting, but the malt vinegar has more than the wine?  Or, perhaps you have some other type of intolerance?

 Okay,

So I thought, for a couple years now, that I have a sulfite allergy. Whenever I ingest non-organic wine or vinegar (org. apple cider vinegar seems to be OK), I have major anxiety/depression and horrible eczema outbreaks almost immediately.

However, I was reading online that malt vinegar is actually low in sulphites and should not make people allergic to sulfites react. Could I actually have a yeast allergy instead? I am thinking this because drinking beer makes me feel really bloated and extremely lethargic (1 beer).
