Ok, I did some googling. I found Nutphree's, which I knew about http://nutphrees.com/index.html, and Lizzie's, which I did NOT know about and I'm so so excited there's finally one in the city limits and CTA accessible!! http://lizziesbakeshoppe.com/

No, I didn't get the names. The hotel is in Evanston IL so...somewhere in/around that vicinity (I'm sure they advertise it).

I'm in awe of this executive chef (Kerry Hieber) at the Hilton Orrington in Evanston IL.  I'm attending a conference, week-long, all meals provided via buffet...so I asked to speak to the catering to find out what it feasible, etc. or if I need separate meals.

Well, omg, I'm floored by this executive chef!  They get allergies a lot and she said her niece has bad food allergies. She REALLY gets it.  We went through the usual discussions, etc. and all will be good.

What floored me? Well --- she said she goes to Whole Foods to the allergy sections to get nut-free cereals and whatnot for food allergic guests for catering. Adding to that...there are apparently TWO nut-free bakeries that SHE WILL GET ME SAFE DESSERT FROM!

:happydance:

I mean really, so above and beyond --- it's quite darn awesome.
