Oh dear.   :misspeak: :footinmouth:

Glad that you knew I meant that in GENERAL, remarks associated with public commentary on these things has come light years.]

Eragon, I've known for ten years.... and I credit HER personally with dispelling some of that ignorance in the public.   She has worked really hard to improve understanding in the UK, and I'm proud of her.  Clearly it's paying off.   :smooch:

(pretty sure that this isn't eragon's DD, who is-- well, not three anymore...)

I also think that I recognize a post or two as belonging to eragon within the comments there-- which are surprisingly not as ignorant as they might well have been ten years back.  THAT much is encouraging-- that the usual response was horror and "how could someone be so arrogant and stupid at once"

CM, I know you were not referring to eragon's comments as be not as ignorant as 10 years ago!  But that is how I read it  :hiding:  LOL!   You know I love ya!!  But that made me spit my coffee!!

I'm glad it isn't yours. I thought by the title of this thread that you were talking about your own experience!

God love the Brits.

I've learned MANY new terms that I may now apply liberally, as needed, to my own family and so-called friends who attempt (or who I simply suspect of being capable of it) such utter horse-feces.

This is the entire reason why my MIL has not seen my DD-- her only grandchild-- since she was barely four.  One too many instances of unauthorized food and defiant "it was FINE" (see, you're just making a big deal out of nothing...) when we knew it was merely a matter of time before she miscalculated badly enough to cause a near-fatal reaction.
