This is a failure by the child's doctors. Very tragic. Preventable if parents are given information.
What a heartbreaking story. And I am sure there is more to it. This ending makes me very angry!
He returned a verdict of death by misadventure and recommended people with allergies be given "some sort of objective evidence" they can show to third parties in emergencies.
Save a child's life, ask questions later! Fix the problem later! Get your "evidence" later!

I couldn't either--was seething. . I agree with Lakeswimmr.

Assume a calm mother comes in and asks for epi....sorry no, don't have a Rx, but someone's been in contact with satay.
(First...who the heck would say "someone" but even so.....imagine she did.)
Pharmacist says NO. Would he not say.....did the person with allergy touch/eat it? Would he not ask....is the person having a reaction?
Half a brain and yes he would.
