QuoteIngredient Notice from Burger King (These notices are distributed when food manufacturers provide information to FARE about upcoming changes in their products.)
Burger King is informing the food allergy community about a change in cooking procedure for their French Fries. Starting on August 3, 2015, French Fries will no longer be cooked in a separate fryer. They will be cooked in the same fryer as Hash Browns that contain wheat flour, resulting in the likely risk of cross-contact with a known allergen for the French fries. Therefore, from now on, French Fries may contain wheat.
I hate when ingredients change
Well there went one of two places DS1 could have fries.
At least I won't have to endure their food anymore :/
That's so frustrating, YKW!
That means our only option for a somewhat balanced fast food restaurant that is able to handle all of our allergies is Chickfila. (I know that is not within everyone's comfort zone but the grilled nuggets, french fries that are fried in veggie oil not peanut and fruit cups work for our family).
Will make traveling interesting as we tend to go with tried and true for us and they are not open Sundays.
I realize Chickfila is not healthy either - but when you travel with a gluten/egg allergic child, your standards change
