we have flown long haul with BA twice with our son  and didnt have any problems like that, am very surprised and shocked.

Oh, I think Penny needs to get that letter published in as many mass-market newspapers, online media, etc. as possible. 

The fact that level of stupidity is still out there is reprehensible.
