Title: Jif hazelnut spread
Post by: Mezzo on September 14, 2012, 09:06:36 PM
I don't even know why I looked, but tonight I found a new chocolate hazelnut spread from Jif. Competitor to Nutella, clearly. Lots of cross-contamination warnings: almond, cashew, pistachio, soy, and wheat. Contains hazelnut and milk. But no peanut listed. Isn't that weird?

It comes in 2 flavors: chocolate and mocha cappuccino.

Mocha cappuccino? Doesn't sound appealing to me.

My thought there is Jif doesn't make it they acquire through existing production elsewhere putting their Jif label on it. Kind of like Kenmore is a Sears brand name it puts on appliances made by LG, Whirlpool.

Thanks for the wheat heads up.  Hoping the farm out and don't mess with Jif for one of my kids.  Grrr.
