Title: Chocolate games - US and Canada
Post by: SilverLining on December 20, 2013, 10:16:53 AM
I purchased a scrabble game with pieces made of Belgian chocolate.

In bold it says Nut free product.

Beneath list of ingredients it also says

ALLERGEN WARNING:
Contains Milk and Soy. May contain Wheat and Eggs.

It is made by gamesformotion and licenced by Hasbro (I assume because it's scrabble).  I cannot call, it's an international call.  I've sent an e-mail, but doubt I'll hear back today.

Anyone familiar with this and know if it is also peanut free?

I never thought to click my country.   :insane:

Thank you hezzier.  I just called an the office is closed for lunch.  I'll call again after and post results.  I'll also move this into the appropriate forum afterwards.  (I needed a quick answer as it's a present for someone for tomorrow.)

I just called Laura Secord.  They are not making it this year.  Apparently last year they did.

Yes, but I did not buy it at Laura Secord.  Last year they had the contract for the games, but not this year.

I sent an e-mail to the US company listed and it bounced back as undeliverable.

She called right back.  Said it is Peanut free also.  Also no chance of cross contamination of either peanuts or any tree nuts.

Hope this is enough info for you.

Thank you so much.

I hated to "assume", especially at Christmas.  This is for a birthday gift for tomorrow.  (I'm the one that might eat it that has allergies.)
