Be aware that MANY pediatricians and internists may not be aware of the shift in thinking about egg allergy and seasonal flu vaccine, though-- so even if your allergist is up-to-date and sees no reason to NOT get vaccinated, you may still not be able to get your vaccination through a regular primary care provider.

When I got my shot they took me to a room where a lot of the nasal spray was used. I don't know if that builds up concentration at all but the nurse asked me what the egg concentration difference was between the spray and shot because she had no idea. While I understand they don't necessarily get the same exacting updates allergy moms do I would have thought that the team dedicated to flu clinic administration would have at least have an idea. Guess not.
