I read somewhere late last year about the recommendation to remove oral antihistamines from a child's emergency meds pack but forgot where.  Does anyone know?  I thought it was either FAAN or AAAI.

I don't know about that.  Our plan has always been to wait and see if epi is required and if so to give epi and THEN Benadryl.  We don't ever give Benadryl first or alone because it can't stop a fatal reaction and our son's allergist feels it can mask a reaction that is progressing.
