OTTAWA, December 3, 2010 – The public warning issued on December 2, 2010 has been updated to identify the correct weights for three of the products.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Grandpa Jimmy's Scottish Bakery are warning people with allergies to milk or sulphites not to consume the products described below. The affected products contain allergens which are not declared on the label.

All of the following Grandpa Jimmy's Scottish Bakery brand products, where milk and/or sulphites are not declared on the label, are affected by this alert:

There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these products.

Consumption of these products may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to milk or sulphites.

The manufacturer, Grandpa Jimmy's Scottish Bakery, Grand Bend, ON is voluntarily recalling the affected products from the marketplace. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.

L'Agence canadienne d'inspection des aliments (ACIA) et Grandpa Jimmy's Scottish Bakery avisent les personnes allergiques au lait ou aux sulfites de ne pas consommer les produits décrits ci-dessous. En effet, les produits visés contiennent des allergènes alors que l'étiquette n'en fait pas mention.

Tous les produits de boulangerie suivants de marque Grandpa Jimmy's Scottish Bakery, dont l'étiquette ne fait pas mention de lait ou de sulfites, sont visés par la présente mise en garde :

Le fabricant, Grandpa Jimmy's Scottish Bakery, de Grand Bend (Ontario), retire volontairement du marché les produits visés. L'ACIA surveille l'efficacité du rappel.
