I had lunch with her in October - she's doing well.

I am soooo jealous. Would love to meet both of you.

 If I ever get to travel your direction...  :crossed:

It's very possible that I have simply not seen her recent posts, but I don't think I've I've seen anything from Janelle in a while.  Anyone know how she is doing, or whether she has been here lately?

She gave a quick check in the other day in Adult Depression.

Erik Candyguru hasn't checked in in ages. Is anyone in touch with him off board?

His kiddos must be getting so grown up!

Has anyone heard from Janelle?  I hope she's just busy with camp stuff and that she is OK.

Hi everyone..

Life got busy, work got super busy. I got a new phone, covid came, and didn't log in for years. I was thinking of this site today so created a new account (MapleLeaf) and logged in as no idea what my old password is. I hope everyone is well.

My kids have grown up.. one at university and one in high school. No more kids at this point. Haha

I still search for peanut free chocolate. My latest find is Cadbury Swirl, now found at retailers across Canada including Dollarama.

Happy New Year!

Erik, so great to see you. I can't believe your girls are that old.

I guess you haven't heard my news....I somehow outgrew my allergies. Found an awesome allergist who was willing to do scratch tests, followed by blood tests, followed by food challenges.

I still chose to support companies that label well and have peanut free options. But...I also eat actual contains items.

ERIK!!! So glad to see you!  I can't believe how grown your girls are. I still remember when we were joking about crashing your wedding!

Time has flown by. Both my boys are married, grown and flown. One a teacher, the other an attorney.

Wow.. time flies..  so you are an empty nester! Glad to hear your kids are doing well.

My older daughter is at Toronto Metropolitan University studying Early Childhood Education.

She is starting 2 days a week at a childcare center in mid January. Her eventual goal is to become a school teacher (primary school - ages 4 to 10)

She still has peanut and egg allergies..  the wheat allergy may be gone.

My younger daughter (well, she turns 16 this year so not young anymore) still has her dairy allergy.

Yes..  my wedding was 2005..  over 20 years ago. It is unbelievable how the years fly by. I still work full time..  but I do see retirement on the distant horizon as I am getting old. We do have a cute 4 pound Maltese dog to keep us busy.

Are there many old timers still visiting this site? Looking at the threads it seems very quiet. Glad you are still here! :)
