So very sad  :'(
Does anyone know if her allergic reaction was to a food, insect, medication or . . .?

It hasn't been publically stated by the family, though in another source, she is identified as being peanut allergic.  No mention of other allergies.
Resistance isn't futile.  It's voltage divided by current.

Here's a link to a thread in schools where I posted that there was a note in the online guestbook to her obit indicating she had asthma and peanut allergy.

Ruling: Md. need not protect pupils from allergens in school lunch
