Ehhh, for some kids maybe.

I hate to think about the number of pb&j sandwhiches I ate while pregnant with DS1 - wheat allergy.

Though having said that, I avoided peanuts at all cost with DS2 and that is what he shows up positive to (not sure if he is allergic or not but his immune system went out of whack at the age of 2 - so maybe he doesn't count??)
DS1 - Wheat, rye, barley and egg
DS2 - peanuts
DD -  tree nuts, soy and sunflower
Me - bananas, eggplant, many drugs

Unfortunately, that didn't work for me.  I craved PB for my 1st DS and ate it like crazy... he's allergic to peanuts.  I craved ice cream for my 2nd DS and ate it like crazy... he's allergic to milk!  :-/
DS1 (11) - PA
DS2 (9) - MA, EA, PA, TN (on baked milk for 1 year)
DS3 (7) - KNA

I ate EVERYTHING and I ate GREAT quantities of everything.  They need to talk to me for their study.
DD, 25 - MA/EA/PA/env./eczema/asthma
DS, 22 - MA/EA/PA/env.
DH - adult-onset asthma
me - env. allergies, exhaustion, & mental collapse ...

Exactly.

I guess that three-times-a-week Baby Ruth probably wasn't helpful re: peanut allergy, since that is the anaphylaxis trigger that started us out on this journey with something of a bang.  Well, band AND a whimper, actually.  The whimpering was mostly parents wanting it all to just go away.  {sigh}

And that avoiding milk (since I still don't tolerate it WELL, exactly) didn't matter that much... since that one has been the most plastic of DD's allergies... oh, and wheat, well-- yeah definitely didn't avoid, and DD was still definitely allergic.

All I wanted when I was pregnant with DS were cheesesteaks and milkshakes.  He's allergic to milk but outgrew beef...

It mentions the first trimester.  I did not eat much of anything the first trimester, but later in my second and 3rd was when I ate loads of eggs and PBJ and fluffanutter sandwiches, not together.  ;)  Dd has PA and EA.

So, they didn't talk to me either.

Its OK to have dreams:one day my kids will be legal adults & have the skills to pick up a bath towel.

I was studying for my boards and pretty much managed to stay awake with constant hand-to-mouth from a jar a peanuts, while pregnant with PA dd.  In fact, she had pretty bad eczema within a few days of being born, even if her PA wasn't discovered until 13 months.
