Any suggestions for protein bars/granola bars that are dedicated peanut-free, nut-free? Libre Naturels are good but looking for something a little more substantial. We have an appointment with a nutritinist Wed but thought I would pick brains here for other suggestions.

Thanks, CMdeux! Trying to find something new. It's been so many years now, my son's getting picky and not wanting to eat Enjoy Life anymore or other favorite brands like Dare, Skeeter Snacks. We didn't like Zego Bars. The flavor was not appealing...

We make our own with dates, seeds (from Libre Naturals), oats, hemp hearts, and chocolate chips.

Kashi has a line "Crunchy Granola & Seed" that is pn/tn free

I like both, they aren't very sweet, but are protein packed and very filling.

Kashi is good with labeling and will state peanut/nut warnings or as an ingredient if there is any chance of cross-x.

From their community boards (and I verified a year ago on their FB page)

"
Thank you for the question, Dianna! We always label for the top eight U.S. allergens, unfortunately sesame is not one of them. Sesame will always be listed as an ingredient, but if sesame is included in a natural flavor it will not be called out.

I am very happy to share that no peanuts, tree nuts, or sesame are allowed in the building where these bars are made!"

Thank you, I will look into Kashi's bars. Good suggestions.

DS has PA and TNA so these might work! (If I can get him to eat them. Adolescence has made him picky!)

I also use Nature's Bakery Fig Bars --- think healthy fig newton --- I love the blueberry, raspberry, and apple/cinnamon!

I don't remember where I heard about these bars (may have been this site) but I finally ordered them and they are delicious!

High in protein, the bars are very large and filling.

Unfortunately, only available online and shipping is pricey:

Oh yikes. Those Kashi bars here are made on shared likes with peanut. Bummer.

It's just that specific kind Mac --- not ALL Kashi bars --- just the Crunchy Granola and Seed ones (2 flavors).

I order mine from Amazon by the case --- the last a long time, but are part of my 'emergency preparedness kit' too, a few at work in the desk, a few in the car, etc.

I *love* the fig bars. Raspberry, blueberry, apple cinnamon, and fig --- all favorites. My store here sells them 79c each for individual and a little bit of discount if sold in the box. Enough calories/fat for an easy on the run breakfast. Super thick filling :)

I really lucked out, then, because--

ZOMG-- Costco had them.

I'll look for those two flavors. My store only had these.
