Starbucks birthday cake cake pops. there is no warning i could find on the 4 pack for cross contamination for peanuts or nuts.  does anyone know if they are manufactured on shared equipment?  does starbucks label well?

I thought they had rocky road cake pops with mini marshmallows and crushed peanuts on them??

If they still have those, then it's a cross contamination nightmare with all things so close together in the same case...  If not, I'd still be concerned about their other items with nuts.

Oh, then I don't know - I always just look longingly at them in the case  :) .  I guess it would depend on where it's made and whatever else they make there.  I assume they use regional bakeries?

Cake pops are fun and easy to make, though.

DD made these...  Red velvet - YUM!

They put shared equipment warnings on almost all their products.  I've never called, but I let DS have the madeleines because there is no warning on those, and he's always been OK with them.  Unfortunately, out local one does not have those often (I usually see them when I'm at one I don't go to as often).

ah yes, I was thinking of the madelines, that someone here trusted the labelling. I'm hoping when I call tomorrow, the pops are labelled just as well. The manager went in the back and got me a fresh, sealed four pack with the label on them.

Ark,
If you want to try madeleines, I've bought the ones at Costco and DD has had them without a problem.

These are just about the cutest thing I've ever seen!

Their black & white cookies have no warning, but when I called they would not rule out shared equipment or facility.  >:(   cheesed me off, big time.

still thinking about calling, just not having high hopes....considering the store bakery case has a "nuts may cross contaminate these items" type of warning at the satellite store:

just tell me: "Hey, a***ole, you hurt my feelings!"

the Starbucks 'may contain xyz allergens' in the bakery case is b/c of how they handle/display everything, has nothing to do with the manufacturing before they hit the case.

I also have to wonder about regional differences, so far as suppliers . . .

Is this where I blame iPhone and cuss like an old fighter pilot's wife?

I was going to call, but I put one in my daughter's kinder lunch yesterday. It came home with a nibble out of it. She wasn't impressed much. They are cute, but the center looks a bit greasy. She preferred my homemade valentines cupcakes in Wilton wrappers, with hearts and colored hot pink sugar. I pack them in little valentines treat boxes for that "WOW" affect at the 45 minute kinder lunch table. Egads. They compare lunches like women compare shoes. Some mom at the beginning of the year was sending full size greeting cards and candy necklaces and this is what it morphed into. <shaking head> Having something COOL!! in your lunch is like having social currency.

The Bento just wasn't doing it anymore. I tried to send small trinkets like a lego set consisting of four pieces (Target now has "Hello Kitty" in the Valentine aisle), but they were confiscated by lunch moms and teachers. <throws hands in air>

but Mompetition?  I'm no easy win. Somebody always has to poke the dog.
