Hi everyone,
Since it was approved by the FDA I wanted so badly to have this test done, although I do not know the accuracy of it, I asked PIRL/Phadia and they have no answer to that question.

I just got back my results:
Negative (normal) for the component PEN A 1 Tropomyosin, IGE <.10 KU/L
Normal is <.0.10

Shrimp IGE Complete is 0.63  KU/L
0.35-0.69 Low range

although it is still low range it is the highest it has been for me. I had 3 IGE done previously and they ranged from 0.36, 0.37 and 0.44

I am happy the component came back normal but would be happier if I knew the accuracy of the test.

If anyone has more info on this test I would appreciate hearing about it.

Wow!  I didn't know there were so many component tests available!  Do you (or anyone else reading this) know of a source which explains the significance of the different components?  I know here we've had discussion about the peanut components, but I don't recall seeing anything about the others.
TX - USA
DS - peanut, tree nut, milk, eggs, corn, soy, several meds, many environmentals. Finally back on Xolair!
DD - mystery anaphylaxis, shellfish.
DH - banana/avocado, aspirin.  Asthma.
Me - peanut, tree nut, shellfish, banana/avocado/latex,  some meds.

I wish the shrimp package came with interpretation of results like the U Know peanut test does. I am still unclear what my results mean, my allergist wasn't much help.
