I was thinking that it might be a good time of the year to go over alternatives to ice cream.

Which "frozen novelty" products do people trust - and for what allergens and in which country?

I have used Philly Swirl and Flavor Ice a lot without incident.  Last I heard, both were on nut-free lines.  I wonder if that is still true, though.

Philly Swirl and Flavor Ice are the only ones I buy.  I usually just make lots of homemade popsicles, fudgesicles, and ice cream in the summertime.

This summer we're going to try shaved ice (or if you're from Hawaii, shave ice). I know a lot of people don't use kraft but I found a recipe to make the syrup from unsweetened kool aid packets.

We but the Miniute Maid fruit pops. And we trust Popsicle, too.

Curious-do you also buy fudgesicles (same brand as popsicle)?

If you want to make fun popsicles at home, I definitely recommend the zoku.  DS was having a flavor ice the other day for his sore throat and mentioned that we need to make some this summer.

We have a zoku and it is fun.  I gave it to dd for Christmas.

We also use popsicle brand items if the label is safe for our PA, TNA.

We have used minute Maid, Philly Swirl, Luigi Italian ice, Flavor ice.

We use Popsicle, the Minute Maid push-ups, and sometimes Philly Swirl.  I've also bought Klondike bars for DD.

Does anyone know if Popsicle uses dedicated lines, Or do you just trust their manufacturing processes?  I've always been leary about Popsicle because when I first called a couple years ago they said they did not have any dedicated lines.

We quit buying klondike bars because so many didn't trust them and I got nervous seeing all of the peanut flavors. We never had a problem though. I'd like to start buying them again.

Thank you!  So helpful as always!

I gotta check out that Zoku.  I have a three dollar popsicle mold from Bed, Bath and Beyond, but it doesn't make very exciting popsicles.

Shaved ice, oooh, I hadn't thought of that.  That does open up a world of ideas.
